What is a Climate Hero?

A Climate Hero is any individual who is concerned about climate change and passionate about clean energy, who wants to be a leader in his/her community in making the transition to clean power and electric transportation. The climate crisis is too important to leave solutions solely to government and corporate leaders and organizations. All communities have a shared interest in preparing for the rapid electrification of our energy usage.

We find Climate Heroes from all walks of life - men, women, students, and retired folks. Practically everyone we talk with is concerned about the effects of climate change and the future health and well being of all of us. But the question most people have is: "What can ordinary people do about it?"

ElectrifyNOW offers actions we can all take in our own communities. There are many things that can be done besides lobbying government officials and executives of large corporations. Grass roots efforts complement the leadership of state and local governments and the efforts of utility companies and large corporations. Our own actions allow us to reap the benefits of clean energy technologies, which include individual financial savings.
